My team and I at Canyon Creek Family Counseling have been sending folks to Awakenings Mental Health Treatment Center for years. We have also had the great privilege of supporting their clients' aftercare transition back into their day-to-day lives. In both instances, we have gained direct insight into how Awakenings operates. We have seen tremendous progress for individuals struggling with chronic and acute mental health conditions, as well as a range of chronic health conditions. Most families are also impacted by addiction in some way, and Awakenings does not fail to nurture those needs as well from every angle, be it a loved one of an addict or someone directly suffering with addiction. They also give special care to the impact of grief and loss. Their grief curriculum has been so helpful for clients who have suffered a loss or experienced a major transition. Lastly, their emphasis on neurofeedback has been a game-changer for clients. We appreciate the holistic approach, which includes frequent neurofeedback sessions as well as incorporating movement and nutrition into the treatment.
