Review for Awakenings Treatment Center
5/5
I will continue to refer my clients to Awakenings for Intensive Outpatient therapy (IOP)
I am a Licensed Psychologist and have worked in the field since 2008. I will continue to refer my clients to Awakenings for Intensive Outpatient therapy (IOP). Their clinical model combines evidence-based therapy with innovative neuroscience interventions such as daily neurofeedback and biofeedback, alongside experiential modalities like mindfulness, expressive arts, and trauma-specific group work. This integration ensures that care goes deeper than symptom management; it targets the nervous system, the psyche, and the lived environment of each client.
What makes Awakenings particularly referral-worthy is the balance of clinical sophistication with emotional warmth. They offer tailored tracks for mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and chronic pain, while also running gender-specific groups, LGBTQ-affirming programming, and family therapy options. The emphasis on family inclusion and identity-affirming care demonstrates an understanding that recovery is not just individual, but relational.
The Clients consistently report feeling “seen, not pathologized,” and describe the environment as both nurturing and transformative.
Awakenings is an excellent referral choice for adults who have felt underserved by conventional therapy, who require trauma-informed, neurobiologically integrated treatment, and who benefit from family involvement.
