Meet The Team
Cynthia Edelstein, LMFT
Cynthia‘s work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Art Therapist, allows her to be part of the transformative, creative process she so highly honors as she works with clients, couples and families. Cynthia makes her return to Awakenings Treatment Center, where she feels so fortunate to have completed part of her internship, while attending Phillips Graduate School. Cynthia utilizes the principals of 12-step work with her clients, in addition to her work with attachment theory, inner-child work, and family systems. Cynthia emphasizes the principles of self-forgiveness, self-care, and new ways of thinking about the choices, which surround each of us in our lives, despite external circumstances. She feels blessed to come to her clients with her own lifetime of diverse experiences, knowing that the many roads she has traveled in her adult life have given her a breadth of understanding and compassion for what her clients might be experiencing in their lives. In her spare time, Cynthia loves traveling with her husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and create art, in its many different forms and expressions.
