Brittney Carlos, B.A.

Neurofeedback Technician

Brittney Carlos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. She began her career in medical settings as a nurse assistant, where she gained hands-on experience in patient care and support. Her interest in mental and behavioral health led her to work as a Behavioral Technician with children on the autism spectrum, deepening her understanding of neurological development and therapeutic intervention.

Now a dedicated Neurofeedback Technician at Awakenings, Brittney channels her fascination with the brain into her work with BrainPaint—a neurofeedback software that uses real-time visual and auditory feedback to help individuals regulate brainwave activity, improve focus, enhance emotional regulation, and promote overall cognitive well-being. Brittney finds deep fulfillment in guiding clients toward long-term, sustainable healing through brain-based solutions.

In addition to her clinical work, Brittney facilitates the weekly alumni group at Awakenings, creating a supportive and welcoming space for former clients to stay connected in their recovery journey. Her focus on community and continuity of care helps participants maintain meaningful relationships, celebrate milestones, give and receive support, and build lifelong connections rooted in shared experience and growth.
Outside of work, Brittney enjoys quiet moments at home, usually with a book in hand and her beloved pugs, rabbit, and turtle by her side.
