In this January 9, 2020 episode of the Dr. Phil Show, his guest, Liz has admitted that she was obsessed with taking 100,000 steps a day and overeating unhealthy foods. Liz was walking around her home for hours at a time without taking breaks and then rewarding herself at the end of the night (upon taking some 100,000 steps) with a slice or two of cake and multiple cups of sugary cereal. With the help of our Clinical Coordinator, Dr. Deena Manion, Dr. Phil offered Liz the opportunity to address her compulsiveness and addiction issues with a dual diagnosis treatment program at Awakenings.

On the Dr. Phil Show, December 2019, guest Alexis is facing criminal charges, along with her fiancé, Lance, in an alleged interstate crime spree. Alexis is told she’ll need to take to prove to the court that she is a suitable candidate for probation in lieu of prison.
