Alicia Kaleski, LMFT

Primary Therapist

Alicia Kaleski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a strong background in clinical psychology. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Prior to joining our team, Alicia worked as a Behavioral Therapist (ABA) with children on the Autism Spectrum and other developmental and behavioral disorders. She also served as an In-Home Outreach Counselor, collaborating with the Department of Children and Family Services to provide comprehensive support services to individuals and families facing trauma-related challenges, including exposure to domestic violence, sexual abuse, and neglect.

Alicia’s professional experience extends to co-facilitating domestic violence support groups for women, coed parenting groups, and working on a suicide hotline. She has also received training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Alicia’s extensive background includes working with individuals, families, and groups to enhance self-worth, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Her commitment lies in empowering individuals by identifying and building upon their strengths, fostering permanency, and creating nurturing and safe environments.

Since joining the Awakening’s team in May of 2020, Alicia has utilized her expertise with Autism Spectrum Disorder and trauma-focused knowledge, working with high-acuity individuals struggling with psychotic disorders. Alicia additionally facilitates family therapy sessions to assist the family unit in healing dynamics, establishing boundaries, and fostering communication.

With Alicia’s expertise and dedication, she plays a vital role in helping individuals and their families achieve personal growth, emotional resilience, and a sense of empowerment.
